Not famous enough for an induction.

Jimmy Clanton was very popular in the late 50's and early 60's prior to the British invasion. His songs, I.e. Just A Dream, Venus in Blue Jeans Ship on a Stormy sea. Just to name a few were hits. He was a great performer then and still is. I know because I lived during that time. What consideration do you need to consider him now? He is a great lyricist, musician and vocalist.
