Give me a break, this is supposed to be Rock n Roll not motown. He probably would not have made Motown Hall of Fame. Theme from Shaft? Theme from Sh--!

Rest in peace, Mr. Hayes. The leaders of this Hall have spoken, and you earned this accolade.

Where's David Porter?

his version of Walk On By utterly destroys Dionne's version. We should induct it.

It's funny his version of the song didn't make it to their list of 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll because that definitely paved the way for progressive R&B of that period especially songs that went that long lol

David Porter is a big name in the industry. He was Isaac Hayes songwriting partner. David Porter also had a few albums and hits of his own, but he should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the non-performers category. David Porter and Isaac Hayes were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005, but Porter was left out when Isaac Hayes was inducted into the Rock Hall, just as Bernie Taupin was left out when Elton John was inducted into the Rock Hall. Elton John and Bernie Taupin were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992. David Porter is to Isaac Hayes what Bernie Taupin is to Elton John. David Porter and Bernie Taupin should get inducted into the Rock Hall in the same year while they are both still alive. David Porter needs a page on Future Rock Legends.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
