Was Ian Hunter in Mott The Hoople?

If Ian Hunter isn't voted into the RHF then they need to change the name of the building and award.....grossly stupid in my opinion to vote in people who don't even play rock and roll music vs. someone like Ian Hunter who rocked for years and was much beloved for it......Ian Hunter is more deserving in my opinion even than his former band Mott the Hoople in terms of the entire body of his work and those he influenced.

I love Ian Hunter and "You're Never Alone with a Schizophrenic" is in my top 10 of all time favorite albums, but "Cleveland Rocks" has nothing to do with the RRHOF. It was actually originally "England Rocks" and changed for an American audience.

If you want to have any sense of respectability, then Ian Hunter needs to be inducted to the RRHOF. It's pathetic that we're even having this discussion.

David Bowie entrusted 'All The Young Dudes' to Ian and the Mott, and also performed on the track,
and Ian and the Hoople ran with it and made it one of the most iconic songs in Rock n Roll history.
Ian Hunter has gone onto write and create songs as a solo artist from 1975 until this very day that have managed to blur and eclipse the notion of space and time, and after 7, count them, 7 decades of Rock n Roll fervor and excellence, is now creating new outstanding provocative soundscapes that only a true master of their craft could ever imagine in their wildest dreams, let alone at the remarkable age of 83! Ian Hunter Is Rock n Roll Royalty, and always will be, whether inducted in the
Rock n Roll Hall of Fame or not. Move Over 'Rock n Roll Hall of Fame' cause you are Standing in Ian Hunter's Light!!!

There You Go!

Ian Hunter, one of the greats definitely should be in the RRHOF. Talk about someone who paid his dues and then some.

Even in a world where AI Music and Yacht Rock are considered musical genres,
it is un believable that Greatest Living Rock Star is not in the Hall of Fame.
All of the other true rockers in the hall should pull their names and demand the
closure of their displays until this injustice is corrected.

Ian Hunter IS the greatest living rock writer and performer ,ask people who are in the music world ,they know.
Respected and talented ,no one has ever recorded or written so many quality songs ...
Remains in the shadows, when he should be Britain's most celebrated artist.
Maybe his choice ?
But with so many less talented 'stars' already inducted,it is a travesty that he isn't in the RRHF.
Whoever runs this ,get better informed and induct Mr.Hunter

Seven decades of great Rock and Roll from Ian, and Bed of Roses shows he' still got it. I can't think of anyone more deserving of being in the RRHOF.

He must be in soon, why wait till he is dead? Still writing great music, and collaborating with decades of artists. It is an insult to wait anymore!!!

Oh man, I can't even comment and do justice to it. I can listen to Spotify "This is Ian Hunter" over and over continuously for hours. And thrusting for more and pulling up his enormous collection of his great lesser-played music. wow the depth and breath. He was rapping before rap. Mott was a short time in his long career and must not be the only reason he gets in. He and Mick Ronson and Mick Ralphs were great collaborators and must be recognized.
