Virtually the same story as with the Lumineers. A song that should have stayed exclusively Triple A rather than cross over--and I didn't like "Church" as much as "Ho Hey" even. I don't get the song/artist's popularity. Well, I'll check back in 10 years as time will tell...

Very too soon to tell. Only reason I'm posting on this page was because I saw him for the first time at Loufest last week. He was the headliner, which is a big deal for a guy/band with only one huge hit and hasn't been around that long. I don't like the song 'Take Me To Church' as I'm surprised the surviving members of Pink Floyd haven't yet sued him for ripping off their song ('Have a Cigar'). I wasn't blown away by his album either as it got very more unlistenable. See, Hozier's voice just doesn't cut it for me on studio cuts. However, he made a great impression at the concert and I came to the conclusion that he's a straight-up live artist all the way. Great supporting band too. Doesn't mean I'm a fan now, but I got better judgment :)

Definitely too early to tell but this first album was amazing. 'Take me to Church' was the hit but the whole album really kills it. I think the album is good enough to be an artists marque album but he would need to show more over this next decade.
