Will Glenn Frey be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
"Musical excellence is the essential qualification for induction."

I think he deserves to be voted in. He kicked his solo career off with 'No Fun Aloud', which is an excellent listen that garnered hits like I Found Somebody, The One You Love, and Partytown. He followed this up with the mega hits The Heat Is On, You Belong To the City, and Smuggler's Blues. His final solo album 'Strange Weather' was his best effort - an exceptional piece of work, even though it was not a huge commercial success.

Really, I think he deserves a serious look. He has put out some good positive music. It is unlike many of the mainstream, and yet so uplifting and impressive. I for one would vote for him. Kudos Glen!

Well his solo career is definately nothing hall of fame worthy, I have always thought that "Smuggler's Blues" was a great song.

I thought his solo career was his "catchy tune" phase, like "Smugglers'" and "The Heat Is On"...

Nothing wrong with good, commercial, hookful rock n roll.

Out of all the members of the Eagles I think Henley's and Walsh's have the best chances of induction. Not that either of them will be inducted though. I would love to see Joe inducted with the James Gang.

RIP Glenn Frey. You Belong to the City is still one of my favorite songs.

I was hoping Smugglers Blues would be an essential song.
