Living inside myself is a song that brings me a lot of sweet memories. I wonder whether Gino Vanelli has ever been to Porto Alegre and performed onstage. Porto Alegre is an outstanding southern Brazilian City. On account of that song I became, still am and will always be his fan. Thanks. Paul

Fun fact: Gino Vannelli was the first white solo performer to appear on Soul Train (February 2, 1975, to be exact). I realize it's not something that would make him eligible for the RNRHOF, but it does end the debate over the identity of the first white performer to appear on Soul Train.

BTW, I strongly feel that a page for Don Cornelius should be created here. This is the man who gave many funk, soul, disco, R&B, and rap bands, performers, and singers their significant nationwide exposure. It was also the first TV music variety series to have a black focus. For those reasons, Cornelius should be inducted as a non-performer.

Living Inside Myself is a song built on layers upon layers of musical complexities to the point that when combined with the introspective lyrics, I sometimes have to stop listening and step outside to chill out for a bit or I feel my head might explode.

Gino Vannelli recorded some of the most innovative and unique albums of the 1970's . He had a sound like no other artist. He combined Rock ,R&B, and Jazz into a sound that was uniquely HIS. NO OTHER ARTIST sounded anything like Gino Vannelli. He was one of a kind
His powerful vocals , backed by the musical arrangements of his brothers, Joe and Ross Vannelli, made his albums a true family affair The Vannelli Brothers (all 3 of them), were involved in all aspects of their creation; WRITING , ARRANGMENTS , PRODUCTION...they did it ALL. and he is still performing today...and still married to his childhood sweetheart,Patricia, after over 30 years !!! Gino should at least be CONSIDERED.
