One of the most annoying voices/styles in pop music and extremely dated now. Not a chance of induction.

Best kept secret in music.

Never! Both his ballads and rock songs are too cheesy and over the top. I kind of liked Alone Again (Naturally) and Get Down when I was 10-12 years old but never have worn well. People like Jim Croce, Don McLean, and Harry Chapin are infinitely more deserving but they haven't been considered yet either.

Gilbert has songs that have stood thru the times. Every oldies radio stations play his songs.

Fantastic songwriter, but I could never get on with this man's vocal style. Too nasal and whiny.
