The Fireballs should be in the Rock sand Roll Hall
of Fame. The were a strong influence on guitarists
with their hit instrumentals and rockabilly vocals. Later in their career they changed to pop
vocal styles, and later still heavier rocking music. As of 2017, they are still active in their
hometown of Raton, New Mexico. Original lead guitarist George Tomsco is still the bandleader.

How is "It Hurts To Be In Love" not one of his essential songs? In my own experience, it tends to be the only song people know by him.

Why is there not a you tube video of Gene Pitney's rock and roll hall of fame acceptance speech on YouTube? I'd like to know where I can access that. Please send link
