It's a shame that nobody takes Gary Puckett seriously. He had five big hits and a huge voice. He was a tremendous singer. Try singing along with one of his songs. The pitch is way up there yet he sings with such body. These songs are anthems. There's a party game of challenging everyone to name Gary's five big hits. Usually someone can do it, but most people of that generation can name three or four. At least nominate the poor guy!

Yep. Really good singer, actually.

To be honest, I'm surprised an act like the Sir Douglas Quintet can get nominated and Doug Sahm can get considered for his solo career, but Gary Puckett hasn't even been considered. Not knocking the Sir Douglas Quintet, just sayin'
