The only reason I don't see Freddie Mercury (or any other member of Queen for that matter) being inducted is because all four were inducted as a band.

He's in with Queen. No need to go by himself.

Freddy wrote and recorded some great music without Queen. "Barcellona" and more.

They better not induct him just because he's getting so many votes at the museum.

I don't think they would. He didn't do enough as a solo artist to merit induction. Even though I like Mr. Bad Guy.

Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, and Phil Collins are more possible to get in for the second time than Freddie. But it's doubtful since he was one of those singers you still can't ignore.

freddie mercury deserves single spotlight as well as band spotlight. Paul mcartney had a career after the Beatles why cant Freddie be inducted for his music he did away from Queen? Double standard i say

@ Michael Cavaliere

Cause Freddie's solo catalog isn't big as Paul's. He would be a multi-inductee if he was alive now in good health condition.

I would tend to agree with the person who talked about Mercury as deserving of a solo induction, except for one thing. He never recorded a solo record! Everything he did was with Queen.

I guess I stand corrected. Freddie did do some solo work. But if I wasn't aware of it, how significant could it be?

It's not really significant enough to merit a solo induction. It's most likely been forgotten about. The album Mr. Bad Guy is a fun listen though.

Freddie Mercury deserves to be inducted in the rock n roll hall of fame on his own merit . He's regarded as one of the best and should be recognized
