Will Fiona Apple be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
"Musical excellence is the essential qualification for induction."

She never will and that's just her own damn fault. Her first effort was very unique and showed promise of a great artist but to long between albums and then virtualy disapearing won't help her case.

AZ Dave is a moron!
Fiona Apple was one the first real female singer/songwriters to appeal to more than just lesbians in the 90's. She has so much talent and so much to say. She is very inspiring and definitly deserves to be inducted!
Even if she may not be on MTV as often as she once was she is still influencing people with her music.

Well, at least she can be credited for bullimia and anorexia becoming fashionable again. As for her music, can't say I am the biggest fan. But I admit to liking some of it.

It's a maybe, she has quite a good record with the critics. And I think there's something to be said for taking your time with albums, making sure "each song is it's own world" in her words. I think it depends who really emerges in these years. In 2021 I think the only looks as of this post are Eminem and probably Modest Mouse(as long as Modest Mouse doesn't turn to total crap or break up before then). Otherwise the competition is quite slim around these years, from a lacking of "Legends," that appear in our A.D.D. society.

If Fiona Apple were to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, it would be Criminal.

Only a three album career, but all three to me are milestones. One of the most original talents in the last 18 years.I think she will get in first elig year if her still loyal fan base makes noise. She so rarely is active so her showing up to the ceremony is going to be a draw, which is what the Hall voters are looking for it seems.Their was a "Free Fiona" movement once,in 2021 look for a "Induct Fiona" movement.

yes, and this is why:

h t t p : / / w w w .

she composed that when she was 15. It is mozart level.

FRL threw the question out on twitter a couple days ago. With 4 out of 4 acclaimed albums, has Fiona earned a spot? I say yes, and she's someone that I'd seriously consider in Projected. Siouxsie is my top female snub and will be a permanent lock for me, but PJ Harvey and Fiona Apple are very much on my immediate radar.

Fiona Apple is a talented composer, lyricist, and is one of the best artists to release a debut album in the 90s. Her music is carefully written and if she isn't inducted within her first 10 years of eligibility it will be a mistake.
