Can someone please explain why this person has been inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame?

Primarily as a powerhouse of the British Invasion scene, probably the most important woman of white/blue-eyed soul music, also helped perpetuate rock music by helping Motown become more popular in the UK and subsequently Europe.

Other reasons that could be mentioned would be primarily political in nature, but those are her main musical contributions. I say simply listen to "Only Wanna Be With You" and you'll know why she's in.

Good reasons.

Thanks, Phillip.

Isn't it quite the contrast between the clean cut females of the 60s like Dusty Springfield / Petula Clark and today's "singers" like Britney / Madonna?

I suggest you do your research, and immediately you will understand why 'this person' has been inducted into HOF.
