David Porter is to Isaac Hayes, what Bernie Taupin is to Elton John. David Porter and Bernie Taupin, still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

I agree. It's a shame that David Porter isn't in the Hall.

Because Isaac Hayes was inducted as a Performer, and the Hall of Fame really needs to work on his huge backlog of non-performers. Why are Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong not inducted? Ashford & Simpson?

Don't get me wrong, Bill. I totally agree with you that Porter should be inducted. Not necessarily alongside a second induction of Hayes, but Porter belongs there. But so do Whitfield & Strong, Ashford & Simpson, even Bacharach & David. Isn't it time again for an induction of multiple songwriters, like in 2010?
