Mayfield is remembered for his introduction of social consciousness into R&B and for pioneering the Funk style. Member of The Impressions. He was inducted in the RRHOF twice. As a solo artist and a group member.

Few artists deserve to be inducted in the RHOF twice but Curtis Mayfield is definitely one of them. What a legend.
