Concrete Blonde is a wonder to me. As an avid music historian, it seems that every band I enjoy gets their due... except for Concrete Blonde. To me, they're the great forgotten band. What is the general public not hearing? Johnette is... sorry, I don't even have the words. But hear this, I will advocate for Concrete Blonde being inducted into the HOF until the day I die.

As a huge music lover from the womb i've spent a lot of time listening to both underground and mainstream bands. My friends and i were listening to pretty hate machine long before anyone heard of nin. It is mind blowing though that the blonde never made mainstream. Although it kind of makes it feel special. I hope that one day the powers that be, see fit to induct the blonde. Till then i guess we can know and enjoy their amazing talent.
P.s.there's a lot of mention of joey. To be sure, great song! But if that's all you've heard keep listening! One of my favorites is lullaby, also on bloodletting.

It's unbelievable they are not already members. Johnette has one of the best voices of any rock vocalist, male or female. This band was awesome and have earned their spot with their musical excellence.

Concrete Blonde is amazing and in the arena of Long John Bauldry, The Cure, The Cult, Gene Loves Gezebel, Peter Murphy, genius lyrics, genius vocals, genius guitar, just indifferent to the norm. Johnette Napolitanons
voice alone should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...such depth and texture.. and her lead guitarist, who I believe has passed...
This band is a band everybody should know and hear...
