shes definately NOT rock. shes pop..._

Obviously these artists don't necessarily have to be a 'Rock' star... because it looks like anyone that has released an album will be eligible one day... and out of all the 'PopStars' out there since 99'/00', Christina is definitely one of the most deserving to be inducted in the Rock Hall. :)

Posted by Mandy on Monday, 05.28.07 @ 18:45pm

eww no

Posted by Kayla on Monday, 05.28.07 @ 21:18pm

The artist doesn't have to do "rock" music to be put into the hall of Fame...the artist must be significant through music's history..and Christina has definately done this, she's this generation's voice

YAY CHRISTINA AGUILERA!!! MY VOTE!!!!

Posted by Abimelec on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 08:18am

Whether you love Christina or not, she's a remarkable artist in today's music whose songs like Genie in a Bottle, Lady Marmalade & Beautiful became classics worldwide. You got to give the woman credit, she is the voice of this generation and definitely has the staying power. I'd say a big YES.

Posted by Sander on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 09:34am

Christina is such a great artist and singer, she deserves all that she has and much morew. She's the only talented singer out there now.

Posted by Guillermo on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 09:38am

While Christina is undeniably one of the most talented singers of today's pop stars, it doesn't seem likely that in 25 years she will have altered the rock and roll landscape in any lasting way. She'll need Mariah to get in before her to set a precedent, but I don't see that happening either.

Posted by c.w. on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 09:48am

YES OIF COURSE SHE IS THE BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD- SHE IS AMAZING SINGER

SHE IS ROCK FOR BACK TO BASICS

Posted by ALEX on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 10:59am

She mos def deserves it. Whether you love or hate her, you can't deny she's talented and has stayed strong after her debut unlike so many other female artists that came out around her time. She's only getting better. And by 2024 she will have surely prove that she deserves it.

She's an amazing vocalist and artist and in my opinion and many others, the best female vocal artist in the industry today. I vote Yes ^_^

"Lady Marmalade...became classics worldwide."

I love it when the kids think the musical horizon begins at the year 2000.
Ever heard of LaBelle?

Posted by shwan mc on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 12:19pm

I think rock is not only the music is the way the artis is and the way she represents her self and Christina Aguilera has the talent and she has the determination to acomplish anything shewants she can do rock pop r&b soul and jazz and she will be succesful on it she is amazing and she cand do anything so I think she is the best choose to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Posted by mario on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 12:59pm

she deserves it .. cause she's the best singer of our generation...

Posted by Josh bloom on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 19:25pm

OF COURSE SHE DESERVES TO BE THERE!!

Posted by L-O-V-E-R on Tuesday, 05.29.07 @ 19:28pm

lol. A Christina forum is voting yes for Christina faketitaguilera and no for Britney. Figures. Christina was as low as 10% then the little teenybopper christina fans started voting.

Posted by Sandy on Wednesday, 05.30.07 @ 00:51am

i love her music

The term "rock star" is being used too loosely these days.
Even groupies like Aguilera, whose interest is more on the body and least on the music.
May the Gods of rock enlighten you.

What?!
Are you guys crazy.Me in the HOF?
OMG I suck..I'm just a Mariah Carey rip-off.
Vote "no".

Posted by Christina on Wednesday, 05.30.07 @ 11:50am

Absolutely not. She doesn't deserve it. She has done nothing for the industry that is memorable.

Posted by Jackie on Thursday, 05.31.07 @ 23:28pm

i think you could say the same thing for Mariah Carey as well. someone else that hasn't any memorable for the music indutry. just like christina, celine, and whitney.

Posted by eric on Friday, 06.1.07 @ 19:53pm

Celine is memorable, and so is Mariah. Christina is just there. With her fake theme albums and fake persona. I'm sorry but she's always saying I'm this, and then with the next album out she's someone completely different. It's like make up your mind.

Posted by James on Saturday, 06.2.07 @ 14:26pm

She is talented enough to be in the "hall of Rock"

Posted by Far away on Saturday, 06.2.07 @ 19:09pm

ROCK AND ROLL, SHE IS NOOOOOOT ELEGIBLE AT ALL SHE STINKS AND HER MUSIC IS REALLY BAD.

Posted by Dave on Saturday, 06.2.07 @ 19:37pm

I'm a big fan of hers and she's a fantastic singer, but what's gonna screw her is significance and impact.

25 years from now, I doubt that people will look over her career and say "WOW! she's been such a major impact on music!" I have all her albums, but let's face it, she can barely move records anymore.

Beyonce & Britney will both make it in before Christina.

Posted by Michael H. on Friday, 06.8.07 @ 21:55pm

It is certainly too early to say, but I think that Christina is definitely on the right track. She is continually growing as an artist with each album and I wouldn't be surprised if she was still here 15 years from now. Only time will tell...

Posted by Brian B. on Sunday, 07.1.07 @ 18:22pm

8 years ago..I would of been like HELLZ no but the girl has so changed from her Bubble GUM pop..Not only is she a skilled SANGER but she she likes to change her music (which some artist dare to do) and she gets HUGE props like that so I predict she would be nominated oneday..

Yes, a very well thought out and informative place to hang out. In the 8 months I've been here I've surely learned about some artists I never really knew about before like Robyn Hitchcock and Joy Division.

Much to be thankful for...............

Christina Faguilera?

Or

Christina Uguilera?

You singers are spineless
As you sing your senseless songs to the mindless
Your general subject love is minimal
It's sex for profit

Posted by denyo on Thursday, 12.18.08 @ 23:08pm

Oh GOD no, Girl is talented but she had 0 impact and influence on other artists or pop culture itself. She didn't shock the world with any performance (her 2007 vma was only hyped by critics )

She is just a girl with a great voice

Posted by Iz 2 love 2u on Sunday, 06.28.09 @ 02:32am

Christina got a amazing voice and yet, no one can against her.. She don't have to sing rock song because her voice is already rock.. And powerful.. I love her voice.. For those who say "no", try to listen to her songs.. And she is the best female vocalist of all time,..

Posted by Bryan on Thursday, 10.15.09 @ 02:41am

What impact, influence or importance does she have?

None. She has the best voice amongst her peers, but her music really, really sucks

Posted by Frest on Saturday, 10.17.09 @ 10:00am

She's had some decent tracks- but up until now, like Britney Spears and some other commercially successful acts, she hasn't really done anything WOW, in any part of her work and lacks the importance. She's obviously looked to Madonna as inspiration, but Madge did it all, and Aguilera she lacks that magic, that awe-inspiring presence. I doubt she will be considered upon eligibility or anytime soon thereafter.

Posted by JR on Thursday, 10.22.09 @ 11:04am

As good a voice as I've heard, and if pop stars can't be in the hall, what the hell are the Beatles doing in???

Posted by Chris on Sunday, 11.8.09 @ 13:21pm

What a ridiculous comment that was about the Beatles.

Posted by Brian on Sunday, 11.8.09 @ 15:01pm

She has a great voice, but her songs are crap. And she has nothing to do with rock. Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne are more rock and have better songs than her.

Posted by Robin on Monday, 12.28.09 @ 07:28am

Correction Robin: All the people you mentioned in your comment not only have crap songs, but crap voices as well.

Posted by Mankey on Monday, 12.28.09 @ 07:54am

You are wrong Mankey. They have all good voices and songs. Christina has only a good voice. If there were a Pop Hall of Fame she would deserved to be a member, but not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

Posted by Robin on Tuesday, 12.29.09 @ 11:24am

None of them are eligible for almost 20 years! They don't deserve it nor will they get it. And I'm not wrong, it's my opinion, just as it's your opinion that they have "good voices and songs." I'm sorry but nobody will ever convince me that Avril Lavigne or Christina Aguilera have good voices or songs. They are nice little pop artists and that's about it. We can agree to disagree. Good day to you!

Posted by Mankey on Tuesday, 12.29.09 @ 11:56am

Girl can SING

Posted by mrxyxomg on Monday, 09.20.10 @ 21:39pm

Yes, Christina Aguilera should go into the rock and roll hall of fame.

She has define the music industry for over 12 years so far and she has been name by many artist such as Celine Dion, Axe Rose as the Voice of our generation.

Christina Aguilera has rose to stardown from her first album being a bubble gum pop star to a Dirty in your face to defining the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s era. she is the only artist in the top 50 best vocalist of all time under the age of 30.

Overall, she deserve to be in it.

Posted by Sean Mathis on Wednesday, 09.29.10 @ 21:42pm

HEY! DON'T YOU REMEMBER FIGHTER??, DON'T YOU REMEMBER AL THE THINGS (GOOD STUFF) THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HER??...YOU KNOW...MADONNA IS IN THERE...AND PEOPLE LOVES HER OR HATE HER, THE SAME AS XTINA, EVERYTHING SHE DOES IN MUSIC IS MEMORABLE, LIKE THE IMPACT OF DIRRTY, THE PHRASE "WHAT A GIRL WANTS, "BEAUTIFUL" HER VERSION OF LADY MARMALADE, EVEN CANDYMAN, YOU KNOW NOT EVERY SINGLE ARTIST IN THE HALL OF FAME HAS THE BEST SALES, OR TONS OF AWARDS OR MEMORABLE SONGS...BUT AGUILERA DOES, SHE HAS MORE AWARDS THAN EVEN BRITNEY (AND I LOVE BRITNEY), MORE SINGLE SALES THAN ANY FEMALE IN THE LAST DECADE (EXCEPT FOR MADONNA...IT'S ON BILLBOARD) THE IMPACT IS NOT ONLY ABOUT THE SALES, IS EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE, THAT'S WHY I THINK SHE AND MAYBE BRITNEY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME

Posted by Alejandro on Tuesday, 11.9.10 @ 15:03pm

I hate when people refer to the likes of christina aguilera and britney spears as "artists", they are NOT artists. Christina is a great singer but nothing more, she's not a songwriter, she has to rely heavily on others to write her dull boring songs, mainly linda perry. No the likes of her will never be inducted thank christ.

Posted by Paul on Saturday, 11.13.10 @ 13:20pm

She has a great voice but has done nothing innovative or trendsetting enough to separate her from her mediocre peers, unfortunately.

Posted by Marissa on Thursday, 12.16.10 @ 18:32pm

Hell no! What has she's done that is iconic and trendsetting? Nothing. No chance

Posted by Michael on Tuesday, 11.29.11 @ 08:02am

She's fading now, she's even ripping of Lady gaga in her videos.

Posted by GFW on Saturday, 12.17.11 @ 09:14am

She is a great singer and has determination. In each of her albums she changes it up a bit and her voice is so powerfull. She has come a long way and definitly deserves it. When she is eligble she will definitly deserve it. She is perfect now and if she has some more time, she will be amazing.
I vote yes

Posted by Sydney on Monday, 04.9.12 @ 22:08pm

this website is so dumb, so dumb to consider Destiny's Childs, Britney Spears, all these POP stars as rock. Spell out the word ROCK, it does not spell P-O-P does it? I lose respect for websites, idea creators that can't even get their shit together. Pull it together whoever created this dumb ROCK HALL OF FAME giving chances to these POP MAINSTREAM catchy hooks a chance to be under the genre ROCK. Re-think this idea people, come on it's 2014, don't be stupid wasting your time with these dumb none sense.
