One hit wonder
And it wasn't good

Granted they weren't as good as the Squirrel Nut Zippers or Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, but "Zoot Suit Riot" was a good song.

*Apart* from their swing stuff, they've had an impressive multi-genre body of work (rock, funk, ska, etc.). Their fourth album was produced by TONY VISCONTI, for God's sake. If that's not a mark of quality, what is?

They're already in the Oregon Music Hall of Fame...they were NW legends back in the late 80s/early 90s: the most original, ballsiest act to come out of the grunge movement at that time, and the craziest, filthiest live shows ever. Any group that's remembered for driving a giant, motorized dildo deserves to be given the Nobel Prize, at the least.

If anything is going to keep them out, it's their name. Just imagine, "2014 was the year the Cherry Poppin Daddies were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame."

What the hell kind of band name is that? Just by the sound of their name scares me, they don't get my vote.
