Anyone who mislabeled BFMV as emo like some of the comments above on this page are cartoonishly idiots who are/were actually thinking bands like Rites of Spring and Embrace.

These guys may not invent metalcore, but they pretty much introduced the form to a certain kind of large audience along with Killswitch Engage back in the Mid-2000’s.
