Somkin' In The Boy's Room is a great song, but it won't get these guys into the RARHOF any time soon.

Brownsville Station were one-hit wonders. Their one hit was "Smoking In The Boys Room." I learned that from a VH-1 show that had 100 songs from one-hit wonders. I also learned the group Motley Crue did a cover version of "Smoking In The Boys Room."

I was so happy when Brownsville station recorded smoking in the boys room. They deserved to have a national hit.

All I know is this! Anytime a big name band came in the Midwest to do a concert. A lot of times Brownsville station was the opener.

They were perfect. And they always got a crowd warmed up for the big show. I do not think they will ever be inducted into the rock 'n' roll Hall of Fame. However they will always be remembered.

One of those acts who don't have enough historic & cultural impact outside of one hit. Not RRHOF worthy & discussion!
