Have already released two of the greatest albums I have ever heard. So by 2026...greatest band of all time? Yeah.

Brand New Is one of the most Influential bands in my life. they have a song to fit every mood. they have released three of the greatest albums I've heard (and I've heard a lot so don't even THINK about makeing a snide remark) Jesse Lacey has a very clever way of writing his lyrics.

I'm very sad to hear that so many people are influenced by such a terrible band. I promise, there is much better music out there than what Brand New has to offer.

Up till a few minutes ago, I had no clue there even was a band called Brand New. I have a question though. I wandered over to Youtube to try and find these guys. Your comment was the only negative one J.B., and it intrigues me when you get a bunch of positives and one negative. When I was there I looked up two videos that appear to be from different acts.

The first was a song that referenced Jude Law, and it basically sounded like any other act. There was another song though, called "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot". It was being done live, the singer sounded English, and it was acoustic. It wasn't the greatest, but it also wasn't half bad, and not nearly so rotten as the first. I found a thrid song, but it sounded closer to the first.

Are there two bands using the same name, or is this just a case of a dull band w/one good song in them?

The first song you listened to was off of their first album, Your Favorite Weapon. When listened to it sounds just like any other pop-punk band and is nothing special, and in my opinion is their worst album.
The second song you heard is off of their second album, Deja Entendu, which i highly recommend you listen to (it is my favorite album). I would also check out their other two albums and really try to understand the music and give it a chance. I have never found a band that sounds anything like them or has similar lyrics in my entire life.

They aren't terrible, but they aren't worth all the praise either. They may not sound exactly like anyone else, but they aren't doing anything new/exciting/different. Their lyrics are about as deep as a rainy day.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
