they were the first southern rock band to be called southern metal so they definitly deserve being on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The hardest rocking southern rock band. The first (and possibly only) successful all-Native American rock band. Ricky Medlocke deserves it. After all, he could have been the first drummer for Skynyrd until he left because he hated drumming, and he still turned out to be southern rock legend with his own band, then became the guitarist for Skynyrd Part II.

They came up with the name "Blackfoot" to reflect three (Walker, Spires, & Medlocke) of the members' Native American heritage...none of the members were full-blooded.

Also, Blackfoot was a band BEFORE Medlocke drummed for Skynryd...

MTV came out the summer before my junior year in HS. Favorites of mine like Motley and Ratt were on. Then one day I see Teenage Idol. Loved the keyboard entry, guitars and powerful bluesey vocals. Went right out and got Siogo. Absolutely loved it with songs like Crossfire and Sail Away. Had never heard of Train Train or knew they had been around for years. So I started buying older Blackfoot. Huge difference, obvious they changed their style for Siogo. Became a big fan, but much to Rickys dismay, prefer Siogo.
