Will Billy Swan be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
"Musical excellence is the essential qualification for induction."

This guy first made it big in 1974 with his #1 hit "I Can Help" but his rock & roll contributions go back a lot further then that. He wrote the song 'Lover Please" which became a big hit for Clyde McPhatter in 1962. He also wrote with Elvis Presley's bassist Bill Black who got inducted last year as a sideman.

Swan is also a rightful inductee into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame

Billy Swan probably has a better shot of being inducted as a sideman than in the Main Performers category.

"I Can Help" is a great track as are many of his covers.
