Arthur Brown is a one-hit wonder his one hit was "Fire." Did he wear makeup like the guys in Kiss?

Arthur Brown a true innovator of psychedelic genre of rock, far from being "a one hit wonder" he has continually produced some brilliant albums and continues to this day to wow old and new audiences. For his excellent live performances he deserves to be way up in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.
A true pioneer, artist and survivor, not to mention an absolute gentleman.

I am the God of Hellfire, and I bring you…

Arthur Brown's stage makeup, theatrics, and pyrotechnics could probably be cited as an influence on KISS and Alice Cooper, but his bizarre Britishness hurts his chances a lot more. The Prodigy, who had a club hit sampling Arthur Brown might get in, however.
