After her comments regarding how Gangsta Rap was invented by the Government and white people in order for blacks to kill blacks; the only Hall this knucklehead belongs in is the "Dumbest Comments Ever" HoF!

Dameon, you missed her clarifcation:

"My comments about `gangsta rap' were in no way trying to suggest that the government is responsible for creating this genre of rap music," Keys said in a statement issued by J Records. "The point that I was trying to make was that the term was oversloganized by some of the media causing reactions that were not always positive. Many of the `gangsta rap' lyrics articulate the problems of the artists' experiences and I think all of us, including our leaders, could be doing more to address these problems including drugs, gang violence, crime, and other related social issues."

I have learned in this life that your first explanation about a subject matter is usually how you actually feel. Whether she clarified it or not doesn't take away from the statement being as dumb as it gets. And it is that first statement that will stick in the minds of the youth of this country, all races.

Right. Because you've never been misconstrued or wish you had expressed yourself more accurately in this life, right?
Ever noticed how we judge others much more harshly in situations where we would holler for others to give us the benefit of the doubt?

Statements like yours are said to assure ourselves that we are more clever than the rest of the world. Typical.

If her career continues with this combination of critical acclaim and commercial success, she'll be a shoe-in for the Hall...and before you complain that she's not "rock and roll", remember that Aretha Franklin was inducted in the second year of the Hall's existence...

After hearing the horrendously aweful song "No One" I hope no one inducts her sorry ass in the hall
There's too much trash in there already

She's a good singer but just not noteworthy enough IMO.
